Arrival in Korea
Upon landing in Korea, Indian students – like all international arrivals – must complete immigration procedures at the airport. To ensure a smooth entry, it’s essential to prepare in advance by carrying all necessary documents and knowing the directions to your university and accommodation.
Immigration Inspection Steps
Manual Immigration Inspection
All foreign nationals - except those already registered in Korea, are required to fill out an arrival card upon entry. Additionally, individuals who must undergo registration must visit the local Immigration Office within 90 days of arriving in the country.
Exemption from Arrival Card Submission
Arrival cards are not required for Korean citizens, registered foreign residents, or individuals planning to stay in Korea for more than 90 days.
1. Arrival Card

- Foreign nationals who are already registered in Korea do not need to complete an arrival card upon entry.
2. Queue in
Designated Lane
- Foreigners are typically guided to a separate immigration queue (Red Line).
3. Passport Inspection & Biometric Data
- Present your passport and arrival card. If you’re 17 or older, you’ll be required to provide fingerprints and have your facial data scanned.
